How The Process Will Work

How will this effort work?
The AIA is assembling a team of professionals from across the U.S. whose individual disciplines bring an important dimension to meeting these challenges: Architects, economic development specialists and economists, urban designers and city planners, preservationists, engineers and others.
•The most crucial phase will bring the team to Bastrop to listen closely to community input. This step occurs over a period of three days—November 14-16—in what is essentially an extended discussion involving members of the community who desire to contribute their viewpoints, ideas and hopes for Bastrop’s future to this process.
• Next it is truly up to the community to take the recommendations given by the S.D.A.T. group of experts and evaluate and prioritize the recommendations. The main key to success with any project at this scale is to not lose momentum or interest. It is vital to keep this project alive and at the forefront of the communities goals, because this process is truly for the community and by the community. So forward and onward we go!
